Wedding Reception - Passed Appetizers and Buffet - Concordia - 2/28/09 - 40 Guests
After traveling here in earlier days, John fell in love with St. John and Little Lameshur Bay and decided that it was the right place for him and Karen to tie the knot! The reception was held at Concordia- an eco-resort perched high on a cliff on the South Shore of St. John with spectacular views and cool breezes. Concordia was a perfect venue for this down to earth couple.
On the morning of the wedding, we arrived rather early to start stringing colorful paper lanterns from the beams in the covered pavilion. The heat was intense and the breeze that graces Concordia’s high setting kept throwing the lanterns around- very tricky. After a million trips up and down the ladder, we finally finished and got the rest of the site ready for the party.
The time finally came and everything was in place. Passed appetizers rolled through the buzzing crowd, signature drinks sat in gorgeous self-serve containers and the bar was hopping. The buffet was simple and elegant and got rave reviews.
By the time our crew was packed up and ready to go, the party was going strong and Karen and John gathered their troops and the leftover drinks and headed down to the café where they played music (many talented musicians in their group) and celebrated well into the night. Congratulations, guys! What a great party!
